Part 2 - THE ISLE OF WIGHT 17 August-7 November

Sandown is one of the best resorts of Great Britain. There are a lot of tourists, expecially old people. I have spent almost 3 months there working at the BROADWAY PARK HOTEL as a waiter. The work was not hard at all, just sometime a bit boring. I also had a lot of free time in the afternoon. Relations with collegues were excellent, expecially with the other foreign waiters. I was working together with 2 girls from Bulgaria (Benny and Denitza), a french canadian (Marie), 2 girls from Germany (Ainhoa and Annette) and two Finnish (Merve and Johanna). Then the english staff (Les the supervisor, Cody, Maggie, Judith, Tracy).

On the isle there are some nice places to visit, and in 12 weeks I had the time to see everything I was interested in, like the towns of Ryde, Shanklin and Newport

There where also a lot of natural resorts with beautiful landscapes.

Only once in that period  I left the isle to go to the mainland. In fact with Benny and Marie we went shopping to Portsmouth, that is just in front of the I.O.W.

Sometime we were wondering how to spend the free time, so fitness-centre, internet, movies and playing scrabble. Every Friday and Saturday night we used to go to Jolly Sailor (a pub) and to Colonel Bogeys (the only discoteque in Sandown) and get drunk.
But when you are with cool people you enjoy just spending the night talking together...

It has been hard to leave the isle, expecially to leave the people I had spent all the time with: Benny (my love), Denitza and Marie. In greeting them my eyes were shining...
