Wien and Budapest (13-21 Dec. 2003)

I went with my friends Stefano and Bogdan on a holiday of pleasure, culture and adventure!

We were going to go to Prague by car, so the first  stop was Wien.

WIEN >>    Bogdan and Stefano near the Opera

We spent there Saturday night (in a disco) and Sunday morning and early afternoon
for city-sighting. Bogdan and I visited the museum "Secession", then all together the center.
The weather was cloudy and sometime rainy, but we managed to take some pictures.

Stephansdom       Graben

We walked downtown, in Stephans Platz, in Helden Platz and we took a look
in the Christmas markets in the front of the Parliament.

Neue Hofburg     The Parliament

Then in the afternoon we left Wien thinking to go in Czech Republic.
But since you need the passport to cross the border with it and we hadn't, we
finally decided to go to Budapest, in Hungary.

BUDAPEST >>

We arrived in Budapest in the middle of the night, so we slept in the car and the day after we searched an accomodation: quickly we found to rent an apartment for seven days.

So we spent the days for sightseeing and the night for clubbing...

Sometime Stefano and Bogdan were lazy to wake-up in the morning and  going out,
so happened that I went out visiting just me and my digital-camera.

The Parliament     Gul Baba Street

The Christmas atmosphere was very nice, expecially in the evening.

Vigado' Square with the Christmas decorations

In Budapest there are so many nice buildings and monument to see;
one of my favourite is the Heroes' Square.

Heroes' Square     Vajdahunyad !!

We visited only one museum, the Szobopark, that is ten kilometres outside the city,
there are collected all the statues from the Communist Dictatorship.
It was a foggy day and the place was quite impressive.

The day after we left Budapest, a city we really had enjoyed   :))
