ROMANIA August 2001

It has been one of my best holidays ever. Really a lot of fun. We were a very nice group of friends. We went in Romania by train (we had an inter-rail ticket, you can move freely for a period of time), so we were in the wagon and we said: "ehi boys, where are we going?" We didn't know, we hadn't decided yet, so finally following an advice we went to MANGALIA, on the Black Sea.

We spent one week on the sea side, not only on the beaches of Mangalia, but also of Vama Veche and Mamaia. The routine was: wake up at noon, restaurant, afternoon on the beach, ready for the night, disco!!

Then we left the coast to go in Transilvania, in fact we wanted to see the castle of Dracula. But due to wrong information, we arrived in SIGHISOARA, where there is a house where Dracula lived for five years, but not the castle that is in Brasov. Anyway we saw that very nice medieval town...

Before going back home we decided also to stop near the border and the place was ARAD. We spent a couple of days in a camping, and instead to swim in the sea, we swam in open swimming pool, but the night life was amazing in the same way.
